Are you looking for best dinner cruises in Cabo San Lucas?

You are in the right place!

Cabo’s location at the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula where Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez means that you get a chance to see some of the most beautiful sunsets along the country’s western coast.

Watching the sun go down from the boat against the backdrop of El Arco (The Arch) and Lover’s Beach is a magical experience that will leave you with lasting memories.

A dinner cruise offers a perfect opportunity to enjoy the spectacular views of the Cabo’s coastline lit up in the golden sun, and try authentic Mexican food 🌯 prepared by local chefs. Many dinner cruises also include live music and sometimes, even a show, so you will not be bored during your boat ride.

Taking a sunset cruise with a dinner 🌅 was one of the highlights of my trip to Cabo, and I couldn’t recommend this activity more. With so many cool tours in Cabo, it might be hard to choose just one or a few, but in my opinion, a dinner cruise is something that every Cabo visitor should do.

Why should you take me up on this? 🤔

I’m a frequent Cabo traveler and Baja expert. I’ve visited Cabo San Lucas many times and have taken many tours, so I know what I’m talking about! The tours in this article have been vetted by fellow travelers, and have many happy reviews on Viator, my favorite platform for booking tours in Cabo and other parts of Mexico.

What are Cabo San Lucas dinner cruises like?

All Cabo San Lucas dinner cruises include food, which is a combination of Mexican food 🌮 and Baja’s staples which usually include seafood 🦀 Besides that, some of them also offer hand crafted cocktails, live music, and extra activities like paddle boarding and snorkeling, when it’s warm enough to be in the water.

Keep in mind that most of these cruises don’t include transportation, which means you will need to rent a car or take Uber.

I don’t recommend taking a taxi in Cabo 🚕 because it’s usually more expensive and taxi drivers often take advantage of those tourists who don’t speak English.

Uber is readily available in Cabo, and less expensive than taxi. Note that some resorts in Cabo don’t allow Uber drivers to pick up passengers at the entrance, so if it’s the case, you might have to meet your driver outside your resort.

If you order Uber, ask your driver to drop you off at Cabo Marina, where most tours begin.

1. Cabo San Lucas luxury sailing yacht and dinner with a chef

⭐️ 182 reviews – 4.5 stars ⌚️duration – 3 hours ✔️free cancellation

A dinner cruise in Cabo San Lucas offers a blend of relaxation, stunning views, and an opportunity to sample popular staples from the Mexican cuisine without booking a guided food tour (although I highly recommend booking a food tour, especially if you want to try Cabo’s street food like fish tacos).

This adventure begins before the sunset, so you will cruise along the coast as the sun dips below the horizon. Watch the skyline light up in golden colors, and listen to the gentle sound of waves, as you sip on a cocktail prepared by a skilled mixologist on board and antipasto platter from a local chef.

Watch the sky light up in the hues of pink, orange and red while you sail past iconic vistas like the Arch of Cabo San Lucas and the Playa del Amor. After a welcome drink and light refreshments, you will have a chance to enjoy a main entree, salad and dessert.

PRO TIP: Don’t forget to bring some pesos with you, so you can tip your crew. If you receive excellent service, leaving a tip is always a good idea, because crew members appreciate your help. It’s always better to tip in Mexican Pesos.

What to bring when taking a dinner cruise in Cabo:

  1. A jacket – bringing a jacket on tour is a good idea, especially in winter, when temperatures can drop significantly once the sun goes down. Although you might not feel cold at your hotel or at the beach, things start changing very quickly once you go into the open water.
  2. Layers – besides brining a jacket, you should also put layers in your bag. Bring some long-sleeved shirts and also consider bringing a hoodie.
  3. A camera – You will want to capture your adventures, so a good camera is a must.
  4. A hat – Take a hat if you take this tour in winter, when temperatures can drop after the sunset
  5. Sunscreen – Sunscreen is a good idea, even though the sun isn’t bright.
  6. Glasses – Glasses will protect your eyes from the bright sun rays
  7. Backpack –  Good backpack will keep all your belongings safe
  8. Closed shoes – Leave your sandals at home, and put on a pair of good comfortable shoes that will keep your feet warm in the evening.

Dinner cruises in Cabo San Lucas – final word

Being out on the open water, watching the sunset, enjoying a great meal, and watching a lice show is something most people don’t experience often. It’s an ideal way to create lasting memories of your trip to Cabo, celebrate a special occasion or just treat yourself to a special experience. Whether you’re with a group of friends or want to mingle with other travelers, dinner cruises offer a fun social environment where you can meet other travelers and enjoy typical Mexican dishes.
