Loreto is known as one of the top destinations for eco tourism in Baja because of the abundant marine life in the Sea of Cortez. The waters surrounding Loreto are home to dolphins, whales, sea lions, manta rays and tons of other cool animals.

Coronado Island (also known as Isla Coronado) is a place that you must visit if you are in Loreto. Part of the group of islands that form Loreto Bay National al Park, this island is known for its spectacular landscapes and snorkeling 🤿
During this four-hour tour of Coronado Island from Loreto, you will spot dolphins splashing in the water, snorkel with sea lions, bask in the sun on the paradisiacal beaches. The Sea of Cortez was dubbed “Acquarium of the World” by Jacques Cousteau, a famous French naturalist.
A tour of Coronado Island was one of the highlights of my trip to Loreto, and I can’t recommend it enough. It was the first island that I visited in the Loreto Bay National Park.
The adventure starts at the marina in Loreto, going through the Sea of Cortez where you can spot dolphins, turtles, and manta rays swimming near the boat.
